Dark Noon

History is told by the victors. This story is told by the vanquished.

Dark Noon is an immersive and explosive theatrical experience which demands to know: who has the power to write our history?

Seven South African actors explore a time when 35 million hungry and poor Europeans fled west across the Atlantic in search of the American Dream. This is a race for land, for gold, for wealth, and ultimately home.

Dark Noon made its Australian debut as part of the 2025 Sydney Festival. In 2026 it appeared at one of the UK’s largest arts festivals, Brighton Festival, in its 60th anniversary year (21 to 24 May 2026), then travelled to Vienna for Wiener Festwochen (29 May to 1 June 2026).
